The fourth-oldest LGBT film festival in North America, the annual Boston LGBT Film Festival brings to screen poignant films about the diverse lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender community. In its 29th year, the Boston LGBT Film Festival presents the most compelling and contemporary LGBT cinema to audiences at the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston. The exciting 10-day festival celebrates film, video and digital media by LGBT filmmakers, writers and directors, and fosters a greater understanding of the LGBT creative identity.
Experience opening night of the 2013 Boston LGBT Film Festival at the Institute of Contemporary Art on the Boston waterfront. Enjoy screenings, events and cocktail parties at the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, which will be showing one of the hottest new films from the Tribeca Film Festival. The Brattle Theatre in Cambridge will also screen films with an after party in iconic Harvard Square. You can also honor Oscar-winning screenwriter and director Dustin Lance Black as he receives the Director’s Award for his contributions to LGBT cinema at the MFA Boston.
